Strob Saws
Strob saws are rip saws with wide body slots inlaid with hardened steel. These slots help to remove splinters and chips and reduce burning.
Haskins has a lot of experience making strob saws and we are proud of our quality. We make saws with 2 or 3 outer slots, and Super Strob saws with both outer and inner slots.
We induction braze one-piece HSS inlay to eliminate the cracking problems experienced at the joints of two-piece inlays.
We can hold very tight OD tolerances when needed for applications such as HewSaw® machines.
We can design strob saws to suit new applications or improve existing ones.
Our strob saws are etched with a tracking number and supplied with a certificate of inspection.

Spline Saws
Spline saws are rip saws run between saw guides instead of collars.
Haskins has years of experience designing and making precision guided edger saws.
Our designs are lasered into high-quality saw steel which is precision ground to thickness and heat treated to specification. We induction braze high quality carbide saw tips and precision grind with CNC equipment. Because every batch of steel is slightly different, we use hammermen and not automatic tensioning and levelling machinery. We feel we can get closer to what your filer wants more consistently this way.
We supply regular silver, stress-relieved Blue and Chromed saw plates to best suit your needs.
We can design saws for start up or to improve your existing production.
Our guided edger saws are etched for trackability and shipped with a certificate of inspection.

Trim Saws
Trim saws are used to cut lumber across the grain.
Haskins has many years of experience making trim saws for every sawmill application.
Our most common grinds are ATB [Alternate Top Bevel] and Vee-Top.
We work with you to design the saw best suited to your needs, be it green wood in the sawmill or KD at your planer. We can suggest different combinations of grinds, hook angles and clearances to help you get the results you need. We can laser harmonic dampeners if noise is an issue in your mill.
Our saws are etched with a tracking number and supplied with a certificate of inspection.
